Could you name any of the characters in his novels? Which was his first novel? Which are his most famous novels? How were his novels published?, Who were his publishers? Was he a successful writer?Who read him? Were illustrations important at that time? Have you seen any films based upon his novels? ... Well, here you have some links , an animation about his life and a game that will help you to find the answers to these questions and write his biography.

WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE DOING?

I've chosen some famous paintings for you to admire and describe.  There's plenty you can say about these paintings. Think about the weather, the place, what people are wearing and doing, where they are located  ...
My first choice is named "The  peasant dance", and it was painted in 1568 by Pieter Brueghel.
The second one belongs to Henri  Matisse, who painted it in 1917. Its title is "La leçon de musique".
And third and last Seurat's  "Sunday afternoon on the island of La Grande Jatte" (1886)
Could you match them?
